We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Group Accounting and Financial Reporting team located at the Valio’s headquarters in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. The Group Accounting and Financial Reporting team is responsible for the preparation of the Valio group's consolidated financial statements and reports. The team ensures and controls that the accounting and financial reporting is accurate throughout the group and oversees that the common accounting principles are met.

As a Financial Controller, Group Accounting and Reporting, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all group entities in accordance with the group accounting policies. You will also be participating in monthly consolidation and reporting activities, conducting financial analysis as well as participating in the preparation of the group’s annual financial statements. In addition, the responsibilities may from time to time include varying tasks relating to financial and tax accounting or reporting, planning and project work.

We look forward to an applicant with:
 - Suitable academic degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or auditing role

- Good knowledge of group consolidation and Finnish GAAP. Experience from IFRS would be an asset.

- Fluent Finnish and English 

- Strong analytical skills and good capabilities (or willingness to learn) to utilize modern reporting tools such as PowerBI

- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system is highly valued 

- A positive can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership

- Good co-operation, coordination, and communications skills
